I live in the bay area I need to go to some more events so if any one has sources of players plz tell me.
There's always KG Tuesdays with Jake Wiens in Japantown and San Jo Slay in, well, San Jose with Ben Herald at the Cultural Gardens on 368 Educational Park Dr. KG Tuesdays are on Tuesdays up in San Francisco while San Jo Slay takes place every Saturday unless there's a day where it has to be cancelled.
aside from kg and sjs, there is a massive kendama event that goes on during the Cherry Blossom Festival in Japantown. It's usually held in April and a ton of players from all around the world come. It's not as big as MKO or KWC, but its the biggest one the Bay Area puts on. stay updated with Jake Wiens on Instagram though because he sometimes throws kendama events on the fly. we had one in September and back in June that Jake set up that were first time events.
There are KG tuesdays by Jake Wiens, and SanJoSlay by Ben Herald as mentioned before. There are also the Bi-Weekly Jams hosted by Dylan Westmoreland, and the Encinitas Kendama Club hosted by Kenyatta Williams 2ce a month. Some big events here are OJO (orange juice open) hosted by KnedamaOC that is a huge competition once a year, and their other big event Summer Squeeze. They also have the Orange Jams, which is a smaller, weekly KenOC event. Murrietta Kendama Fest was HUGE last year, and was hosted by Dylan Westmoreland, and it is likely to happen again. The largest kendama competition here is the Sakura Classic in JapanTown, SF. That is an event hosted by KendamaUSA and Grai Theory, and it is the 2nd or 3rd largest event in the USA. There are plenty more, keep adding below.
