Just got a Ball & Stick Co Pilot. For anyone not familiar the B&S was started by Baldo of Analog Kendama and Alex Hirota. Alex has since left the project for reasons unknown to me. My understanding is that this is meant to be the premium counterpart to Analog, a high end US made kendama. Their website is very minimal (as the company just opened) and is located here. Analog are some of my favorite kendamas I've played so I'm super hyped to play this. The set up is an unbranded full natty maple kendama. I imagine their logo will end up on the kendama eventually, but it is omitted on the pilot. I believe the shape was designed by Baldo and Alex hirota. Weights: Tama: 67.5 Ken: 69.5 Sword: 34.5 Cups: 35 Obviously all this is opinion, so I am going to omit "IMO" after each note Stall points are super solid, second only to the Craft Slim. Lunar balance is fantastic. Despite maple being inherently a bit slick at first they stick perfectly. Slingers are alright. Great lunar balance generally comes at the cost of slingers. They feel similar to the Rez RWB shape, though I find slingers easier here than on a Rez. Here are some pictures! Limited Pilot Bag: All Pilots are numbered /50: Comes with a red string and an additional w/ beads: Super Clean Bevel: Mandatory Lunar pic:
I woudln't say so. The B&S isn't particularly bulky, but it's definitely thiccer than an OG HG. Also the cups are much much much bigger and deeper. I can literally fit OGHG cups in the B&S.
Bevel diameter is 1.9cm. My pop is 2.1 Prime is 2.0. Ozo is 1.9. TK is 1.9. Granted all of those but my pilot are broken in, but It's definitely no bigger than most. and yeah, that's the joke. I love it.
I absolutely love clean Natty Kendama. Can't get myself to throw down that much for a B&S Kendama at this time. I own a Natty Ash Kendama from Analog. It's great, but the Tama is smaller than what I prefer. I wanted to know if analog's Ash Kendama Tama is the same size as the new B&S Natty.
