On a typical day whether you're going to school, work, the gym, or out with friends, how many kendamas do you guys carry on you? Doesn't matter what ones or which ones for whatever purpose, just how many kendamas are usually on your person at any given time? (I thought we had a thread on this but couldn't find it)
Normally I'll have one in my backpack if I'm out and about. Maybe two, but I bike everywhere so I try to keep the weight down. Maple Craft slim plus has been my main jam lately!
Lately I've only been carrying one and sometimes 2 damas with me. The Sweets swag bag from MKO last year has definitely been my go to for carrying my dama with me. But I'm usually at work (as early as 4am and usually out before 12pm) or the gym so tbh my chances of actually having even a quick little sesh while I'm out is pretty slim. Loving the ash Tetrah x ash REZ/RWB and Glacier Turq Mugen Musou x hickory Classic RWB too.
Because I mainly play dama at school and have no time to restring at home, I carry between 2-5 in my backpack. It's not that bad, but I just make sure no one tries to steal any.
Always have one with me, but I’ll bring two if I know I’ll have extra time to jam, also in case someone else wants to try. I often throw a Terra pill or Sweets Pin in with the kendamas to change it up a bit.
I usually have 5 on me at any time. Gotta spread the love! Which brings me another question, do you guys reserve one kendama to give away to someone who is really stoked on the dama?
I've gifted two guys a ken when they jammed a little and really liked it and I also knew that they weren't able to simply spend 20€+ on a ken. So i just asked them wether they'd like one and gave away my "old" kens I hardly ever used anyways. Spread the love instead of letting the kens collect dust
I used to have a backpack full that I would leave in my car most times for when my friends wanted to play. Prolly ten in there or so. But now I usually just use the kusa lanyard and rock my main jammer wherever i go. Which right now is switching between the rez I got in a trade or my give a dama.
When I go to events, I usually bring like 5 damas. At school I just bring one, and with friends, somewhere in between
I always leave one at my desk at work, leave a jammer in my car, and always carry one around in my purse
I pretty much jam all my damas to shreds and I like to only buy a new one if I need it, so for that reason I always just carry my main jammer but I keep extra strings in my school bag
It might seem kind of strange maybe but I usually leave kendama at the places I end up like the office, home, or the shop rather than carry them around. I can't really play in transit so unless I'm going someplace to hang out or meet up with friends I don't carry one. That said I do generally have one or two on me if I'm going someplace I know I'm going to have to wait around like airports, doctors' offices, banks, and government offices.
