    SPOILERS AHEAD
(Because if you haven't seen that new Star Wars movie by now, you're likely not doing something right in your life)

Because The Last Jedi (or referred to TLJ herewith), has been out for more than a month now, i'd like to hear what your thoughts are for this.

Alright did anyone else think Mary Poppins Leia was just like ?? I literally laughed and said "what the fuck" at the screen when that happened. TBH, I didn't even realize she could use the force.

I also thought holo Luke was sick af. Shows how much connection he has to the force to be able to conjur up a hologram that looks exactly like the real thing

I kinda know that she is able to use the Force subconsciously (remember in Empire when Luke called out to Leia when escaping Bespin?)
But the whole body posture was like, whuuuuuuuuut..?
The whole scene could've been better if the posture changed to be a little more natural.

Oh, Holo Luke was sick bruhhh.
My brain kept questioning why Luke was holding an already broken lightsaber, but i chose to ignore it hahahaha

A part of me wishes that the Snoke in the throne room was also a Force Projection.

My thoughts after the movie was, her character is the only one alive out of the three (Luke, Han, and Leia) but her actress is the one that passed away (RIP Carrie Fisher).
I've seen a lot of hate, and have seen posts about an actual petition to strike this movie from Star Wars canon (apparently the same happened with The Force Awakens as well).
As a movie, I liked it. That scene where the rebel ship kamikaze strikes the First Order Star Destroyer...EPIC.
Was hoping for more on the backstories of Snoke and Rey's parents but from what I've read, the director didn't want the focus on Rey's parents so she could come into her own character not bound by lineage like Luke was to Anakin/Vader.

I don't have a problem with the movie, i enjoyed it a lot tbh.
A huge chunk of the ones who seem to hate it expect something different, but Rian Johnson delivered, and they hate it, so i don't know.

That being said, there are some parts of the movie where i wished it would've been a bit better.
Like, the part in the beginning where the Rebels are like "whoaaaaa that's a Dreadnought class ship, an armada destroyer!"
and then Poe goes in an tears apart the ship, before the bombers (who are surprisingly slow AF, considering their job), to destroy the ship like it was some chummy old Star Destroyer.
I mean, you'd be thinking that there'll be a really tough fight, or that half of the armada gets wiped out or something of that sort before they win..

It was from then on, that the Rebellion now kept a small lightspeed capable ship in the armada to prepare to smoke any Dreadnought class ships, lol!

The point of TLJ is to explain that the Skywalkers are not royalty, and that just about any Tom, Dick and Harry is able to harness and control the Force, given the right training.
The Force doesn't belong to a family, or a person, but it flows through everything, and doesn't recognize good or bad.

THANK YOU for making this thread Azrin! I'm a huge star wars nerd and I'm glad others on DS share my passion.
technically- Leia made a force "bubble" around herself that she was able to control back to the ship. It's kinda stupid, cause why did other force-users not use this in Previous SW canon movies/novels/shows etc.? Same question as why nobody had used light speed as a weapon before like purple hair in TLJ. This movie was entertaining... it was not a good star wars movie in many aspects tho. At least it was better than the Force Awakens...

I 100% believe he was. Snoke is presented and used in these movies like one of, or the most powerful force-sensitive being in the galaxy. So, he easily could have projected his death as luke projected himself during the duel with Kylo (BTW, both of them looked much younger in their force projections). But why would Snoke do this? To test Kylo's loyalty. Snoke sensed conflict in Kylo, so he needed to find out what Kylo's true feelings were, wether he was loyal to Snoke or against him. Also, if Snoke was actually there, someone that force-sensitive would have known what Kylo was about to do when he killed Snoke. Now, you could argue this by saying that Snoke did sense Kylo's correct feelings of hate, but couldn't decifer who they were toward, but as I have said, with Snoke's protrayed power with the force I don't think that is likely. I believe Snoke will appear in his true form in episode 9.

I thought the movie was pretty good. Don't care what the haters say haha. Favorite was parts were when R2 and Luke were re-united and the space battles of course!

Well, it could be argued that Snoke’s downfall in this movie is his own hubris, believing the he’s the most powerful being ever.
Note how he gloated about orchestrating the ForceTime calls between Rey and Kylo, yada yada yada.
Too blinded in his own power that he failed to see certain things.

I also loved how the scene was set up.
When Rey tried to grab Kylo’s saber and Snoke just wrestled it out of her, the saber came back to Kylo, in a spinning motion.
At that point, the lightbulb in Kylo went off.
