I believe they will be around $40 (probably 39.99 USD or something) but it may vary between woods. I don't know the final price, but I think a sweets player on instagram said that they will be $40. Edit: Guessed it Do you know if they are already up on their webstore? I had not found it last time I checked.
Sol kendamas dropping rubber/sticky cup damas for tomorrow ONLY! Opposite day dama! Price not announced yet. If it's around $20 I'm copping. I'm so cheap rn because I just blew it on two V10's :/ I'm hyped about this because Sol Shape is actually one of my favorite shapes. It goes against the slim shapes everyone is doing but still has all the extra playability! Mine is actually my best slinger ken but yet has fantastic lunar balance.
Shiguchi kendamas have rubber paint in the cups. I don't own one but I tried one at MKO and it slayed pretty hard! But that's rubber. As far as I know nobody has done sticky cups up until this point.
I feel it is one of those trends that will catch on a little bit. You can only imagine they will destroy lunar flips.
Yea I feel like sticky paint with sticky cups is gonna mean effortless lunar flips. And then when they go to an ozora, they are going to want to throw it in the trash because they won't be able to hit anything. I feel it is getting to a point where all these mods are like training wheels. It is supposed to be a challenge, right? Jus my opinion.
In a way I agree. If you don't own a tk16 or an ozora and you are just play super sticky rubbery chicken cheaters then I would say whats the point. However, if you use them as training tools and then "level up" from sticky paint, to natty and then to icy paint with standard cups, then I feel you are only taking positive advantage of the tools you are given to work with. These alterations to the standard approved kendamas will only teach people the muscle memory so then they can progress faster. Its like slayband, do I use them still...No. But did I use them to help hone inward loons and handlestalls...I sure did. Now I can handlestall and a fresh TK with no issues. I suppose it is all in how you use the tool that counts. You would probably laugh at a pro BMX rider if he rolled up to the X-Games with training wheels but if his parents showed you a picture of him taking his first ride with trainers you wouldn't think twice.
Of course there is progression for companies and players. And if people use these a a training tool that's fine. But I don't think kwc is gonna check for sticky cups on every single dama that fits in the box. So it's going to help in competitions where some people are using old school oozies and some are new school sticky everything with a heavier sarado with markings on all stall points to help with friction. That's not gonna be fair when they score the same amount of points but the old school did so much more to be awarded those points and spent countless hours in practicing to hone his out of the box standard dama. Does that make sense?
But I won't say I'm not curious to see how they play though. I just bought a pop off of @Angelo San Juan because I haven't tried one yet and it's kinda along these lines as well. But pretty cheap. Haha
Taller spike, more angular shape, and beveled base cup hole. The sarado is the same as the old rez, maybe slightly upscaled because the ken is upscaled.
