Yep; 28 days, 28 tricks, one dama.

 

Copped one of those charlie brown REZ kens, and a pop, hopefully it won't be too late for the challenge. Time to start breaking it in!

 

I'm mixing it up with some lunars, 1-2-3s, arounds, and pull-up sling to juggle. I definitely feel that I need to get more consistent at these kind of tricks

 

I made flashcards with tricks/combos I want to lace. A little bit of everything, but a lot of juggles.
@htimSxelA if you can, definitely go for it. I never felt myself level up so much since my first year of kendama.

 

Surprisingly, I planned out all 28 tricks that I'm going to try and lace for the challenge, so I'll see if some are too hard and will be saved for another day. That way, I can still continue to land and post tricks and try again sometime later.

 

I did just over 30 in case I have that same hurdle to jump. Mostly lines of 3 or 4 tricks but a few are shorter ones, especially tricks I dont mess around with like slingers and spacewalks.

 

Can't decide which freshie to use
Tk16 or the pop? Possibly even a TkXpop mash up??

 

If you want to see how much you can progress with just a TK, use the TK as it is. Otherwise, lace that Pop up on that TK and jam it! It's going to be super honed!

 

I'm excited to participate in 28 tricks later! Finally have a reason to post some tricks on insta. The only problem is almost no kendama players follow me. My insta is @ayy.gee.43 and if you follow me I'll follow you back. I think that we should all share our instagrams (if you're willing to) so we are able to see each others' progression. Oh and my setup is the Fraser mod below lol.

 

My yellow pop and yellow rez are both arriving in a couple days, I am planning to use that setup for the challenge, but I will miss the first few days. Play with a different dama? Or do multiple posts on each day with rez?

 

I’m deciding to use this as my #28trickslater Kendama. I thought about using my new sweets v10 or using the kaizen 2.0 trip stripe, but I ended up settling with the kaizen b/w half split. I wanted to use a dama that might challenge me more than the “more playable” shaped kens, and ensure that my skills are truly honed, after all that is the purpose of this whole thing isn’t it?

 

Really debating if I should go in on this. If I can come up with 28 achievable tricks then I def will. Gonna be a busy month for me though.

 

They can be tricks you’ll level up with or tricks to keep you honed (things you’ve done before with/without something added on).
It’s all about staying honed.

 

Going with the Light Blue Ozora as my challenge dama. This’ll be good cuz I’m doing JKA Month too and I’ve never had a thoroughly broken in Ozora before.
(Piece of advice for new members; make sure to select either Full Image, which is preferable for 1 or 2 pictures, or thumbnail, which works best for multiple pictures, when you upload an image)

 

If you are going to work on honing a Kendama might as well make it a TK

It's still up for debate but I've atleast got it down to just the TK or the TK Pop mash up. Leaning more towards Just the TK so I can really break it it in. #Destroyalldamas
