I live in eastern upstate NY and I've yet to find anyone else already into kendama, so I sesh with YouTube lol. This spring Im gonna start bringing damas with me to our local skate park that was built a couple years ago. Try get some of the local youth hyped on it and hopefully spread it around too. Who knows maybe in a year or less I'll be able to organize a weekly etc. jam.
Yo! I’m in sac right now, there’s about 10-20 and maybe even 30 of us. Dave Mateo included, looking for new jammers in sac to bring back to the scene!
Yes, Huntsville, Alabama. I don’t know of anyone that plays kendama at all except the one friend I bought a dama for Christmas.
Seems like I’m lucky to live in Richmond BC right beside the Vancouver dama scene! I’ve got some of my pals playing now and then but I’m totally hooked and definitely putting in more kendama time than my peers. Maybe I’ll have to take my old self to one of the terra jams some time soon... but will they let anyone over 30 into the room!?
Same. I know 4 people who have Kendamas in the town I live in and one moved last summer. I agree 30 min is nothing. That is how long it takes me to get to school.
I’m from Fairbanks, Alaska. I have been looking for local players and have yet to come across any. My goal is to expand the Kendama scene through parts of Alaska! Hoping to find some local shredders soon!
I feel the best way to spread the love is by giving my older kendamas to the less fortunate and people that seem genuinely interested it really helps spread them like wild fire
