Im thinking to buy one.But i wanna know more about it does the paint chip easy? I know that the paint is lol clear and the shape is pop. But i still wanna know how good is it? And should i glue the spike i normally glue the spike to all of my kendamas but im thinking to play it a little until is a bullet spike and glue it then
It is the KromBL shape (same shape as the pop) except it has a base cup hole to balance out the lunars. The paint is the same that is on the slaydawgs - LOL clear, probably one of the best paints imo. Since it is a clear coat, it will chip easier that the double coated BDAY from Krom, that is a fully painted tama. The cups are around the same size of most kendamas these days, very comparable to a sweets prime, maybe even slightly bigger. It has the lettering down the ken that adds some grip I guess, but mainly it looks cool, and has some sort of secret meaning that I don't know of. The tama's design is 70/30 as seen in the picture, with an abstract rendering of a Japanese rolling toy on the top. I believe the early batches also came with the toy too (remind me what it is called if you know) but I am not quite sure about the most recent batch of 'em. The setup slays lunars and hones in slings, and it also has an amazing catch area for juggle and kenflip style tricks. The bevel is pretty wide, and the spike skinny, so endless spike consistency. The larger bevel may also help with stalls, and because of its angle, it should be honed out of the box. The bevel is shallower, but wider than a sweets prime, Kaizen 2.0 etc, so if you dig that, it will slay.
Thanks, but the tama si gonna chip easy? but how hard does it chip in 1 or 2 month's is gonna look like trash? Then the bday is better im thinking to buy the bday, Btw im not a string player so i rarelly drop my kendama, and im not a yank player im playing more juggle and lunars.
I don't think the Bday would chip any differently than the BEAMS. I don't have any personal experience with Krom's paint durability, but they are both the same (LOL Clear).
Paint doesn't seem to chip that easily, I've been playing mine straight for a month or so and its just starting to degrade around the hole a little bit.
This is my 3mo old Beams. Lol clear just doesn't hold up like Sweets Sticky. Still am amazing Kendama but the paint didn't impress.
Beams is my favorite at the moment, here's mine after 2 months. chipped around the bevel but still slays. I also glued it straight away
LOL clear with the pop shape is AMAZING. One thing I realize with the ones that are clear, is that they chip off easier because they do not have the primer coat of noias, bdays, etc that are fully colored. So... I may be slightly recommending a noia. They slay...
I have one, and I love it so much. It is probably one of my favorite kens balance wise, and the paint helps hold the tricks you are trying to land. Plus the idea of some of the money goes towards helping others gives it another good reason to pick it up.
Friend of mine has one and it holds up pretty good except aroiund the hole. The KAMO is more or less exactly the same kendama and I'm gonna put a light coat of superglue around the chips around the hole so that it doesn`'t chip further
Yo guys! Did anyone spot the new dama on Bonz’s neck? I think it was on a story on his ig, but it was a 70 light blue top 30/ blue bottom with the O.K logo (the little thing that looks like a clam) scattered around the ball, but that was just the dama, seems like the ken is the same.
I saw a picture, I feel like it could either be a new one, or just a beams ken with the mimoe rubber tama that's already out rn. Could be either tbh
