Yeah, Dylan used to hold jams in the Escondido area, near Totally Thomas Toy Depot, and Totally Thomas also occasionally has their own jam sessions
Not exactly close but you might find some players in Cologne. There was an event hosted there last year. Check this thread: Dama at the Dom - Cologne, Germany.
There was a jam last week with Bonz and Iiji in Munster. Not sure how far that is from you but hit this guy up. https://www.instagram.com/damanick
I'm from Phoenix arizona and there isn't anybody out here that jams. and i really want to jam woth peoole
Phoenix is home to Catchy Kendama (Yoyo Factory) and you can also try to connect with these players: Winter Wasteland Kendama Event Local Kendama Communities - @Q Miller-Edwards Arizona Dama Sesh *search is your friend (sometimes )
I have never seen any kendama players from North Carolina, in person or online. There might be some kind of a community in the big cities (Raleigh, Greensboro, Charlotte, etc.), but I live 30-45 minutes from Grandfather Mountain, in Hudson. I would say that I am the only player here, but I am still a beginner so I am not much of a kendama community myself.
@Levi Yoder good chance to build your own group; no pressure from feeling like a noob. Everyone learns together.
San Diego, CA It used to be a huge scene here, like 2-3 years ago, but now I feel like it is smaller than ever. Also, a lot of the pros here (TJ, Dylan, Kenyatta, etc.) rarely host or go to events. There is a jam in Encinitas with Kenyatta, but it is always the same group of like 4 people.
Why does the size of the scene matter? Bring your friends out too! Communities can only grow when you stick together
I live near Atlanta, GA. Pretty good scene around me with the Kusa warehouse like 20 minutes away. Unfortunetely, I have never been able to make it to a jam because most of them are in woodstock which is about an hour away. Hope to possibly get to one in the summer.
