Hi, I am looking for some inspiration for a kendama tattoo. I was wondering if maybe some of you have some sketches or drawings of a kendama, or maybe even tattoos. I have wanted a kendama tattoo for a long time now, but I still don't know how it should look like.
There was a big thread on tattoos and drawings and stuff a couple months ago. Try the search function and I bet you'll find it. Matt sweets has a dope one and a few other people have some sick ones. I think coop has a jka seal on his arm or something.
I just searched it. It's called kendama tattoo. Has a bunch on there. Let me know if you can't find it.
Check the tattoo thread, you might some inspiration in there. [MOD DUTY] I'll leave this thread as is for now, since you're asking for ideas and not just posting up pics or whatever. We can always merge them later
You gotta get it tattooed on a bicep and forearm close to your elbow so when you extend and retract your arm it will look like you are spiking the dama.
Some people, instead of a kendama itself, tattoo their favorite company’s logo (the Sweets cross kens, the KUSA Kaizen/Tribute logos, Sol sun, etc). I’ve seen some where they tattooed the japanese kanji for kendama on their arms.
As of now, the main idea is a black tattoo, done with sharp hard lines. I want to include kendama there, but also something else, like nature or an animal. Still searching...
I like this type of tatoo, a kendama in Japanese language, and a kendama around, through or something like this
real men get downspike tattoos haha sorry might actually do some serious designs when i have some time
hey guys, Im just looking for some input, after over a decade of knowing that I wanted to get a tattoo at some, point I'm pretty sure about the (vague) motive. Possibly on my forearm. I want a kendama (basic shape) integrated with a fibonnaci spiral, or maybe something with mandelbrot. Basically uniting my interest in kendama, maths and the psychedelic. Maybe I should just go to a few tattoo studios and ask, but I figured with so many creative people here someone can help me narrow it down or has some personal experience to help me :> sorry for my bad english, greetings from germany!
Guten tag! You and I have very similar taste for tattoos. My best advice would be go online and find as many pictures/examples of the kind of style and subject matter you’re specifically interested in. Sacred geometry, fractal geometry, mandalas, etc., are sehr gut. but a lot of artists have different takes on it. Do you want color saturation, realism, cartoon, black and white, etc.? The most important thing is feeling something personally significant about your art piece. Your body, your canvas, I like to imagine when looking for a tattoo that you are picking out an art piece to hang in every room of your house, so the more personal the better. I’m currently working on a large back piece with a tesseract moving through time/space with sinusoidal waves integrated around the tesseract. Here’s the inspiration for mine. Viel Glück!
Hey guys we had a few Kendama Tattoo threads so they've been combined here for your reading pleasure.
Welp heres mine! Knew I wanted this for a while. Glad to have gotten it hella cheap on a laundry day on tour this summer!
