Has anyone used one of these? Seen them around on Instagram and might cop. Is it really as effective as sticky paint?
I don't think they were silicone at least the jumbo I have isn't. It's just a matte paint that glowed in the dark; there was no "tack" at all.
Definitely not silicone, Glow in the dark acrylic paint, glossy on the cups, but the tama was rougher for sure, not a silk but played like that level of tackiness. Both of them glowed but only when you exposed them too direct light for an extended period of time, and then quickly transition to a completely dark area. First lunar flips happened on one of these jammers, as well as unlocking turntables. After some wear the cups fall down into the perfect spot, truly rip kenco.

Yumu and Rizen have silicon cups in their latest kendamas. I haven't tried myself, but the idea seems neat for something fun to jam. Wouldn't really want to try and compete with it because you'd be called soft for sure.
@ben wunderlich Once and a great while I browse Amazon to see if anything random pops up and saw these yumu's with sticky cups. Idk if it's just me but the cups look enormous too!
yeah it does. And it also feels wierd because of the pencil thin sarado and deep swoop. But now after jamming it for a few days other dama's feel super thick lol. Encourage you to cop one on the next drop.
I was actually hoping to! They are very interesting to me. I only worry that they may be to light for my liking
I have a Yumu Eclipse. The painted cups are pretty innovative and Lunars are super easy. The Corona shape with grooved lines for Birds are cool. Hate the shape of the Sarado it's too skinny and actually hurts the top of fingers where the handle stall area is.
