Not much grip, but there is some there especially with the GT ken from what I've seen so far. Also, from the reviews I've read on the KUSA site they are supposedly very grippy once broken in but I'm not sure how it would compare to other grippy broken in paints like pro clear (probably closer to a broken in ozora if I had to guess). Actually switched the tama onto a maple ozora ken to break it in without damaging the GT spec too much, with no tracking on the tama it feels like it's impacting the spike harder than other tamas (I'm super anal about my spikes and their freshness).
Pretty sure the ones released are black myself too Just making sure people aren't bullshitting about a fantastic product.
Yeah, Kris would make pretty much anything within his power for someone that wanted it. He told me a while back he would throw together whatever color combo I wanted, if he could.
This Yumu is guaranteed egg tama: but seriously they look pretty dope! Li Ho Cheng pro mod http://www.kendamalife.com/en/pro-model/549-li-ho-cheung-pro-model.html
