Where do you get music for the edit from? I used to search and upload music on FMA-free music archive. But now I search music on youtube with "no copyright music" title and it is way easier, and I think this music is better. Do you have any other ideas?
Trial and error! I usually test my edit music by uploading a short snippet to instagram. If it gets flagged by copyright, then I find another. Also, if you're willing to put in the time, you could try producing your own music! I know a few yoyo players who do so (e.g. Gentry Stein). You could also have a producer make edit music if you have cash. Advantage of this approach is that you have a higher degree of creative freedom with your edits because you can tailor-make your music.
@Stuart Barron kixxie is so talented. i hit him up after discovering him in like 2010? and we shot a music video for him. guy loves kendama too. He did some time a while back but hes getting back to making music i think
I think you're on the wrong thread to ask this. Try looking for an Ash or Slaydawg-related thread on The Sesh and you could ask there. (but personally, my Ash Slaydawgs only chipped after a lot of abuse. Very durable kendamas.)
R.I.P Jun Seba Careful using his music though as Hydeout Productions will flag you for copyright. J Dilla is another to listen to if you like Nujabes work and worked with many rapper's over the years, but his instrumental work is something to really vibe with Chillhop and lo-fi hip-hop are amazing to have for kendama jams. So much so that I manage a playlist with something around 3k songs with more being added all the time on spotify. Artists like Birocratic, Flamingosis, Marcus D, Jeff Kale, Swum, & Bonus Points, are just a couple of my favorites in the list and I'm always discovering more. https://goo.gl/v5Dw9e <- link to the playlist This is also a good opportunity to plug the Kendama Community Playlist. A collaborative playlist with i think 160 songs at the moment that other players and myself have added to. You can find the link in this thread -> https://www.downspike.com/threads/the-kendama-community-spotify-playlist.3471/
@Cheech_Sander Yeah actually I remember looking through his other vids on YT and seeing yours and Colin’s names on one of his vid credits (clear weather). That’s cool and he used to post kendama a lot on IG but not so much recently. Definitely a talented guy.
I literally bought and downloaded this song onto my phone with some remaining money on an iTunes gift card I had received right after watching this vid, lol; such chill vibes and a great song overall!
