That is another option that I’m thinking about. I had a great time breaking in the craft slim plus. I got the whole thing brown and it played amazing. I still use the ken to this day a year later.

I've been jamming a birch (one of the prototypes from when we designed the shape), with a one-off Sweets V13 prototype cush clear tama.
    Suuper fun!

I love natty tamas, but its also great to mix it up :)

I take back what I said lol put that pro clear tama on it ASAP. I put a Sweets V10 chocó latte tama on it and it came alive big time. The play is crazy!

If you want them natty, birch and hickory are the way to go. If you want to make a mash up, I recommend the maple because it pairs nicely with other tamas. The ash is not as good of an all around dama as the hickory and birch, but it is a perfect stall dama.

Nice. Awesome points... I tend to think the same thing about Ash. I feel like my Hickory does everything really well. Birch is one of the best feeling woods, but the lightness bothers me.

Totally agree with this. The 2.0 and GT e1 are my fave shapes hands down. I like having either sticky paint (e1) or big cups on natty (like the shift or a natty hg) but both (like a prime or pop) is just too much of a crutch.
