hey guys I just want to know if people tap or catch and release for Tama on multiple juggles, catch and release has always been sort of hard for me but I want to get into it because it seems like a lot of people are having success with it. So any tips for catch and release?
You just have to get a feel for it. The more you do it, the more it will make sense and you'll figure out new techniques that work for you.
Yeah im just figuring out juggle to spike but honestly like Nicholas said you just have to experiment with different techniques and see what works better for you. I just started grabbing the tama with my thumb (used to just kinda palm/slap it when i tossed the tama) and that helps me a lot. Its hard to finesse but that change helped. And me doing the same thing over and over again definitely didnt hahaha.
How do you grab it, whenever you juggles do you make the ken flips higher to compensate the slower Tama?
Ikr it's so hard to do like I was watching Dylan Westmoreland's Instagram story and when he juggles the tama does perfect backflips and it's so easy to track the hole.
1) Use the thumb like Bryan Hansen 2) Pull up straight and make the tama do backflips 3) Make sure to get an up and down motion to carry the tama instead of just going up with your hand 4) Slow the kenflips down to make more time for the tama toss 5) Practice doing the juggle without throwing the tama back up to get the feeling of catching it rather than hitting it
For number 3 do you mean sort of to cushion it and float it up? I'm a bit confused as to what you mean. Could you please explain it a bit more? Thanks!
This is exactly what I do and it really helps like using the thumb keeps it still so when you throw it up it doesn't do triple barrel roll backflips all the time and practice with a good tracker dama and just keep trying I hated juggles until I did them just because I was never as good as my friends they could o multiple juggles but never really spiked it but when I learned to spike because of the thumb trick they were all coming to me asking how to do it so it's worth learning really helped me
is Dwesty on Downspike? I'd really like to hear his input or tips he has. Someone get him to make a statement lol!
Hahahahahah. There is nothing I could say that could make anyone know how to juggle spike. It is just testing different ways of tossing and hitting the tama with your hand. Just playing around with it and dedicating hours. HONE
I have just started to get spike juggle spike honed. One tip that I got from Gage Cox is to hit the tama with the part of your hand in between your pinky and index fingers, as well as performing a scooping upwards motion. This will get the hole to rotate towards you for that perfect spike. As for how people do multiple juggles to spike, I haven't exactly figured it out yet, but I imagine it's much of the same thing. Focusing on juggling and then getting the hole to rotate towards you for that last spike. The tip from Gage Cox was one of the most helpful things ever because it made juggles conceptually make sense in my head. And it definitely works because I hit my first quad juggle to spike after hearing it, and the hole rotated perfectly onto the spike.
