It is basically a one time use hose clamp. They are a round O ring with a raised nipple or "ear" on each side that you clamp with a special tool to tighten them down. Once they are tightened you have to cut them off with Tin snips, thus factories go through them on a fairly regular basis. They are basically an O ring without the screw set, which can open on machinery that vibrates or moves a lot.
But can someone explain why Dama players would be so desperate to buy them? I seriously don't understand y'alls fascination with these.
Playing kendama with an Ear Clamp is like skating with crutches...does it make sense?...No, does it make you better at skating when you go back to using two feet?...Hell yeah! Kinda a similar situation. Also, they are great for fixing chips. Ear Clamps are like a super OP dama hack.
