What's happenin! My name is Ewan McKay, I'm 22 years old and from the UK! I got into Kendama about 3 years ago through martial arts tricking. A group of guys from America started putting little combos in tricking videos and so our whole community picked up on it! What gets me so stoked about Kendama is that you can do it basically anywhere, anytime, no batteries/electricity needed to have fun! And you can do what you want the way you want to do it, pretty much the same as tricking. I enjoy the whole travelling for competitions and jams and stuff and meeting new people a lot is a great part about kendama also. I'm not a new member but I don't think I posted on this yet for some reason. 1. Hello all, my name is Nick Lectura. I'm from and currently live in San Mateo, CA and have been playing kendama for about 2.5 years. I'm an SFK team member and a frequent KG Tuesday goer. I bought my first kendama in July of 2014 after a friend blew my mind by doing a UFO second try after I told him to do something cool (that's the short version of that story lol). I am most stoked on the feeling of being totally immersed in the trick/combo that you're doing and snapping back to reality after hitting that last spike. Always chasing that hone zone feeling. I'm also stoked about making/editing dama clips. I used to love making montages for CoD vids, so I'm glad that I found something else to have fun editing and having fun with in general.
