What up, Matt Sweets Jorgenson here. I live in Minneapolis Minnesota and have been playing kendama for almost 7 years now. I started playing in February of 2010 and started the company Sweets Kendamas in August of 2010. Kendama is a great tool for taking your mind off the many stresses in the world and immersing yourself in the here and now. I have seen some amazing places and met some of the nicest people on earth because of Kendama. Instagram: @matt_sweets or @sweetskendamas Website: sweetskendamas.com
My name is Michael Joseph Reeves (My first and last name are nothing special so I gotta throw in the middle name to make it recognizable lol) and I'm from a small town in Connecticut. I started playing kendama in 2011 and fell off when friends did, but picked it back up in 2015 and really grew a passion for the many benefits kendama offers. Im most stoked on spreading kendama because so few people know what it is, never mind what it can do for you. I'm working on creating a community in my area (which is a lot harder than I thought at first) and once I figure that out I plan to make a platform for other people looking to create a local community. Yo what's up! My name is Lyndon Whalen, I currently live in Atlanta/Marietta, Georgia. I've been playing Kendama since December of 2012. Repping Sol kendamas, and what gets me stoked is seeing someone do a new trick or a trick I'd never even thought of! Love seeing tricks come to life. Insta @lyndonwhalen Follow @solkendamas and @grandesquad for fresh content on the reg!
Suhhh My name's Alissa DeCoteau and I've been playing kendama since 2011 (my brother got me into it - shocking). I live in "Atlanta" and am a full time employee at Kendama USA! What stokes me out the most about kendama is the inner power that it unlocks! It teaches you that you can do whatever you push yourself to do and that's AWESOME. I love all the new people and possibilities kendama brings into my life <3 Peep my IG for things like art and hooping: @alidecoteau s/o to @grande__squad and @kendamausa xoxo
I think that's one of the most important things about kendama. I love when someone picks it up their first time like Nahhh I can't do that and they get their first spike and it all hits them at once Hahahaha. Kendama love.
What up guys! My name is Angelo. I live in Zagreb, Croatia. I was introduced to kendama in 2015 in a skateshop. As someone who skateboards, it didn't take much for me to get hyped on playing the dama. The diversity of tricks, freestyle options, playing solo or with friends, meeting new people, making new friends, feeling the instant joy of lacing a trick... the list goes on. Kendama has it all. Since there aren't almost any stores where one could buy a kendama, here in Croatia, and ordering them internationally turned out to be a bit costly, I thought of making them myself. With a little help from my dad, I got into woodturning and started hand-turning my first kendamas with a couple of friends. It turned out (no pun intended ) as a really fun activity and soon enough we were making kendamas for people outside of our small group. That's how RAJ Kendamas was founded (the workshop is an adapted garage, hence the name 'RAJ'). Spreading the word of the game we enjoy so much, locally and globally, has been our mission ever since. We currently only have a fb page: www.facebook.com/rajkendamas The website should be up soon.
Hell yeah dude awesome story, I can relate to my skateboarding background making it super easy to pick up kendama. do you have Facebook or Instagram?
What's up everyone? I'm Kiowa Thundercloud, I live in Erie PA and I've been playing kendama since February of 2014. My friends all got into it for a good year and a half, then the majority stopped playing. I hit a plateau kinda and wasn't progressing, so I put it down for a few months until earlier this summer. I am super stoked because I've been improving immensely, and one of my friends is getting back into it. Unfortunately I don't have an instagram sorry haha
