Who is on TikTok? I created an account for @TerraKendama on there not too long ago, hit it up! I'm liking how tiktok feels less overrun by commercial ads, and there is a growing group of dama shredders that regularly post on there. If you haven't checked it out yet, join the tiktok dama squad!
Not gonna lie - I despise tiktok and won't ever be downloading it lol Might be biased cause of the cringy posts you get to see on other social media taken from tik tok
yeah TikTok seems super cringe with the dancing @slothymane but seems interesting with the funnyesk vine type of comedies. @htimSxelA how have you been liking it?
@Jewbacca I actually like the interface, its a nice UX for a lot of things, comments are kind of more hidden away though so it feels a little less 'community-esque'. WAY less ads and promotion crap than instagram, so thats nice. The 'dancing kids' meme is definitely a thing on there, but there is a lot of other good content. I've followed a ton of cool kendama, skateboard, snowboard, and DIY/art accounts, no dancing kids. So the feed is lookin good so far! One of my posts has a quarter million views, the engagement is really crazy! Whereas instagram just restricts views unless you pay them for advertising. Honestly the one thing tiktok needs is just more dama players! haha
Quick list of dama players I've found on the Tok: @TerraKendama (me ) @BryanScagline @dealwithitpdx @shonuffchris @mitchthasnitch @solkendamas @Sweetskendamas @micahsegura @yodosty @mjsprague @safaristate (Reed Stark) @norxworld (Norcross) @damonkirchmeier (Damon) @Drugreen @azostuff @Riddlix1 @kendama_hermit @kendamalab @masamoto_sf @JakeGootz @Loganphair @duluth_tricks @jellymanvibez @damaorama @dama_wills
@htimSxelA maybe i will give it a look at then. That's cool to hear that its more reaching out to other community then how insta does it and the comment part is nice
FWIW It seems there is some security concerns with this app. India banned it a while back and the UK, Australia, and now the US are looking at it more closely. Though the article below is specifically for iPhones what I've read is that it's also a problem on Android versions. As always YMMV. https://www.forbes.com/sites/zakdof...ing-on-millions-of-iphone-users/#21ef164234ef https://theconversation.com/china-c...lians-but-banning-it-isnt-a-simple-fix-142157
Agreed on this point. ABC News Australia also did a piece on how Tiktok can pose a cybersecurity threat to the international community.
Yea I absolutely agree about this, not trying to give China any other information, I’ve been using GAB and Rumble a lot recently, Gab so far is awesome, zero ads, zero Censorship. I can even post my own music that I created without having it removed for DCMA (yea Instagram removed my post because I used my own song I made, can you even believe that ? )
