So it’s been roughly a month since they uploaded these videos in Japan but looks like they haven’t really introduced it to the US players yet (or have a thread on DS). It’s essentially a Gloken version of the JKA Dan testing but for a way bigger audience and skill level. They have 5 different certifications ranking from Medal Challenge, Basic, Advanced, Expert, and Master. Video Playlist Thoughts? I think it allows for a better introduction to Kendama without the difficulty of landing tricks like spike or big cup. Really helps out the younger kids too if they can set some sort of goal with this tiered system. Website (Japanese only)
Always good to see new ideas for getting people into kendama. The video above lists a number of the same tricks required for the JKA introductory challenge that is a precursor to the Kyu level tests. We've been using the JKA 9 trick challenge to get people interested, young and old, for a while now.
@j o r d a n We already had a related thread so your question was merged here. You can find out more info on the Kendama Institute site. And here https://kendamakentei.com/en/
