Did this myself on a regular natty beech tama with some acrylic paint pens. I'd like to see something like this with pro or cushion clear coat. Especially on the new homegrowns when they're released.
This is exactly why downspike exists. How else would you be able to directly connect with manufacturers and input on products... What about painting the inside of the Tama hole with a neon color for extra tracking
I wanna see like a Celtic knot stripe, trying to laser engrave one but figuring out how to get it seamlessly around is proving difficult..

Maybe remake the 2014 Pro Models with Cush Clear and the 2017 Pro Models with Pro Clear variants? What if you guys had a tama with a natty stripe and a color fading in on each side of it? And then let it fade back to natty in the areas near the string hole of the tama and the bevel? That would be cool if it also had cush clear and pro clear versions. I kind of see it as a tama that has paint that isn't translucent, but you can still see the grain of the wood.
2017 pro mod tamas (maybe with different color ways) on the HG ken. Also if you could invent a spectra that is as durable as a regular Kendama that would be awesome.
A couple designs i really liked were the Sweets Ninja Turtle cushion cleared tamas, Pokemon Go team tamas, and the KendamaMastaz Power Ranger designs. I think designing a tama with those kind of retro/nostalgic themes in mind is a really great concept. Maybe Star Wars/lightsaber themes with stained kens?? Another one i'd really love to see is a Dragon Ball series, preferably on maple tamas with stained/translucent orange paint and the red stars (1 to 7) of each dragon ball circling the bevel for tracking. @Kayadama I might actually want to order this as a custom from you man!!
Halfsplits halfsplits halfsplits! Speaking of them, add to the Dragonball Z line of kendamas! Maybe a Buu half-split to go with the Frieza and Piccolo ones..
Don't think that's quite possible due to the way spectrum kendamas are made, but that'd be a great invention for sure haha
They've started with a DBZ series with the Freeza and Piccolo. I'd love to see a dragonball tama for sure though
I'd love to see a design with Jake from Adventure Time. Since he can stretch out his hands it would be really nice if they would split the tama as an equator (single stripe) for better hole tracking. aesthetics + functionality = awesome, imo
They did dragonballs already a long time ago. Ask around and see if you can find one. They're very rare though.
Honestly something like the tracking on the kotodama where you have stripes on the bottom half. Also I like the neon hole idea
whats missing is a line that look like billard pool balls! also you guys from sweets should come back with the atack stripes with coloured stripes and white on top and bottom. keep it basic, let us see the tama clearly in motion.
