If you're into rubbers, cop a v3 Samurai stripe off of Kendama Syndicate for 8 bucks. Shipping's not too bad, but it's decent for a cheap silk. Other options include any Kaizen with silk paint, KROM Pops, or a cush-cleared Sweets Prime Custom(throwback pro mods).
If you're into sticky paint, consider checking out KUSA's super stick tributes, Sweets Primes(the normal line), any of the Analogs, KROM Slaydawgs, or Pineapple kendama.
Finally, if you want to go natty, check out the Kaizen 2.0 selects, Homegrowns, Crafts, natty Kaizen 1.0s(or ghost silk if you like the look of natty with the finish of a silk kendama), or a Grain Theory if you're quick enough to snag one from the current batch and you're willing to spend a large amount of money on a pretty solid dama.
watch sweets/uriel sanchez tutorials, but the main thing is practice. It took a few solid weeks of just focusing on juggle to spike to get it consistant, but it's super rewarding.
