I just got mine yesterday so I have no idea as to how durable it will be, or how it breaks in, but so far it slays pretty well out of the box. It is a little lighter than most kendamas since it's made of bamboo, but not too light. The super stick paint is fantastic, however stalls out of the box are a bit slick. I would assume with play, stalls would sharpen up quite nicely. Bamboo does have the tendency to dent so I wouldn't recommend dropping it over hard surfaces to much, however it is a fantastic kendama that looks amazing.
I think the sticky paint wears off and the spike gets sooooo small. Super good when it's at it's prime though.
So the Bray Mod, (comic book themed one) was originally made in bamboo, but within the past week, was updated to the new "maple edition". I do not know if it will stay maple, but currently both the Bray Mod and the KWC Mod are both only available. I would love for the Bray mod (comic) to be available in both "maple edition" and "full bamboo" for purchase.
What is the difference between the Bray mod bamboo and the bamboo on the normal 2.0. The wood looks more vibrant on the 2.0 and it is laminated on the Bray Mod. Is it just looks?
