I found myself looking at some Sourmash stuff and thinking "man, you could get some dope images on a tama if you could do a transfer print" and then i thought about temporary tattoos. has anyone tried this? would have to be on a raw wood tama obviously. probably a porous softer wood. http://thespacebetweenblog.net/the-temporary-tattoo-image-transfer-technique/
That looks pretty awesome! Any idea on the durability? Like does it rub right off? I feel like actual temporary tattoos are like a plasticy layer that easily can come off whereas ink might soak into a wood somehow??? I have no idea...
@Ben Lowe I think he either had or was going to shoot it with a light lacquer but I don't recall seeing an update. On non-playing surfaces that would probably be OK but stall areas, ugh.
And when people ask don't say anything it's a downspike only time thing WHAT HAPPENS ON DOWNSPIKE STAYS IN DOWNSPIKE #PWP
i came here because i got curious about the #pwp post on IG i really have to say i'm not upset. also i wanna see some tribal tattoo stripe tamas!
Oops, accidentally back on topic. Here's a company, Momentary Ink, where you can design your own temporary tattoos and they have a solution that takes the shine off of them once applied which looks pretty cool. Maybe some DS logoed temporary tattoos would be something to look into.
