saw this kendama at a shop near my house and it looks quite legit and gd for slings. The seal looks like a jka seal too im not sure whether if its a real jka approved ken or jus some inferior item. Personally i dont mind the design as long as its cheap and as long as its gd to play Heres a link https://www.sanrio.com/products/my-...903069702d3e05000237,572b903069702d3e0500023d
For 20$ thought. You could probably find something better, unless it is cheaper near you then I would probably cop.
The Sanrio kendama are legit. There are/were 6 models. The seal is JKA and these kendama can be used to test up through the Jun-shodan level of the JKA level tests.
Legit AF. Seal writes "Special Recommendation". I think it's an Oozora, under all the Sanrio goodness.
Yeah, they're Oozoras. I wanted to pick up the white Hello Kitty one for my wife a while back, but couldn't find a decently priced one. They look like novelties, but are actually one of the best kendamas out there! I'm not sure about the longevity of the paintwork on the tama, but you can't go wrong with an Oozy ken on any setup. If it breaks in nicely you'll have a premium JKA setup for $20, not bad at all.
The gudetama kendama caught my eye a while ago. They look really nice and I guess they are jka approved
Indeed! This one is a special seal, from what i've seen (and this is purely speculation), JKA awards this seal to certain kendamas which are just slightly out of JKA specs, and that it can be awarded to non-JKA approved kendama makers. The JKA JAC was the first instance of this, to my knowledge. The first JKA seal for a multi-ply kendama. Then the Sanrios, with the design on top (you're not supposed to have any other paint or design atop another base color, like the Rokurosen).
