Kendama has quickly became a huge part of my life...eh cut that cheesy crap! Yes I love kendama, and I play every day but here's my idea on tattoos! If no one can see them, I could care less. I let my best friend of 7 years tattoo me yesterday stick n like style! He asked what I want and I said "surprise me" and next thing I know 30 minutes later I have a Kendama smaller than a quarter on my thigh haha! I love it though!
Thats dope! Turned out pretty well I think, hopefully he sent it deep so it stays well! Lets use this as a general kendama tattoo thread. Here's a few classics: This is probably one of the older ones I know of, its one of Jake / Rice's homies from SF. (apparently he doesn't play much anymore, and wasn't hyped that his obscure tattoo is now a sorta popular game? I remember someone telling me that, but I could be wrong, I haven't met the dude myself) @MattSweets has this bad boy on his arm, along with some katakana lettering that says 'Sweets Special', if I remember correct http://www.imgrum.org/media/1165615585808374356_390644373More Sweets brand tats: This is on @teamvivivi (an old instagram handle?), according to the original post on the Sweets site I think I remember Kevin Markie having the xkens logo on him... not sure if this was him or not though? Another Sweets branded ken, from the artist @rew_lokazo on insta Mel picked up a Bonz GOAT tattoo recently: @RodDama has a kendama tattooed at the top of his back / neck! I don't have a pic of that one though. I think @Max "Norx" Norcross has some dama tats, get in here and show em off There are lots more out there too... someone else do some digging and post em up!
I think it'd be dope if you had the rays of the sun come out like on the Japanese flag but instead of sun in the middle it would be the sunrise dama symbol. That would be bold but pretty sick if it was done right.
It's an interesting concept in design. I take it as a sign of good fortune for a Kendama company doing business out of Texas. Rising Sun-wiki
Had heard the name but had never checked them out and didn't know they were based in Texas. Thanks for the enlightenment. Good to know there are kendama folk in my home State.
Tattoo thread needs more tattoos! Here is a random one from google images. This site has the original post.
