has anyone owned any damas from KendamaChina and can tell me about their quality and playability/shape? thanks. also interested in learning about Friday Kendama and Tasse Kendama. both companies based in HK/china
Have tried a natty Tasse with grooves etched into the wood and it was pretty unique / interesting. Felt like a quality piece and played fine.
Try asking Ryan Arthur Walker on Instagram, former proprietor of Atlantic Kendama. Last I heard, he's promoting kendama in Mainland China so I think he would know a thing or two.
Kendama China has been around a loooong time. The Winner II had some iconic models, for its day (maybe ~2010-2012?). Haven't really looked at it much these days. Some of the later models they made just became ripoffs of designs from other brands (they made a tributized, multi-spike sorta thing that was just... gimmicky, along with pill knockoffs), so it became uninteresting to me. The Chinese kendama scene seems to be growing slowly, so it'll be interesting to see how they react!
