GT has posted a that they essentially are discontinuing the GT-1 shape (could be safe to assume that means the GT-E1 is also finished). One of, if not the first kendama shape that pushed limits and made people think what should and shouldn’t be a kendama, especially concerning competitive rules and regulations. What do you think will be next? Will GT introduce a new baseline manufactured product (a GT-E1 successor) or will we see a return to the early days of GT and only get small drops again?
Sad sad day right here. I remember when they first dropped and buying the ken only option for 35$ beech ken. RIP GT1
Whew, I just about had heart failure. Read the title a bit too fast and thought that GT was the first kendama company victim of the pandemic. The GT-1 shape was always something I wanted to get into my collection but just never seemed to happen. I liked that it brought back an old feature, the "Swoop," but in an updated design. Couldn't say what shape will be next but it wouldn't surprise me to see a return to small drops depending on production availability.
I'm stoked. Definitely curious to see what's coming and what sets it a part from the GT-1 and pro mod shapes
Yeah I dig the shape too, I was just saying it looks like a pencil sharpened tip if you zoom in on the pic. Probably just due to the bad photoshop, if it’s a p’shop. Anyway, their updated post looks great.
Conspiracy alert.... was the GT-1 a victim of coronavirus? Or did it die of natural causes? What is GT covering up here? (GT2 looks good!)
Taken from Eslayban’s ig story last night. Looks like a lot of inspo for the GT-II shape came from the BH
