Has anyone ever played a Kendama without a slip stop? How was it?

I might try and turn one without to try it out :D

With recently learning juggles,i don't think there's anyway I could find as good a grip without the slip stop now. Who knows. Let me know how it "turns" out!

slip stop is for sure needed. I don't know where I would be without one.

One time, my friend sanded off the slip stop of his tribute, just to try out the feel.
I tried it in that state and found it very unwieldy and difficult to catch properly. That being said, someone out there would probably either like or at least not mind a no-slipstop kendama.

I whirlwind with my thumb on the slip! I'd die without it!

Moon circles would be damn near impossible...or slightly more difficult than they are now.

I think the slip stop is very necessary for any type of kenflip/juggle trick :)
