Dude, that Yancy Customs dama looks so good! I've heard of the company before, and I'm honestly really impressed with the look of their damas. How do they play?
Also fun fact: I believe Kendama OC's JKA month is also in February! Y'all can use a JKA kendama to participate in both events.
It’s my first Yancy, can’t wait to play it. Wanted an Okapi ken for a long time but they sold out. This one however is irresistible! One of the classiest $35 damas I’ve ever seen. I’ll put my thoughts of it in the Yancy customs thread so I don’t make this thread go off topic.
Last year bought a fresh pop for 28 tricks later and it was destroyed by the end. Got a fresh sweets prime from target and hope to have the same results. I wont touch it till day 1
Can't wait to see what you come up with you. Your last trick of last year was hands down my favorite from the whole challenge. I remember being dumbfounded when I saw that clip. I used a Galaxy Ozora last year and it was a serious grind. In some ways it made me a better player but I mainly tried easier ticks because of it which ended in me feeling kind of let down with my lack of improvement. I got a fresh bish mod for it this year and I can't wait. It came in the mail yesterday and I took it out of the box to check the lunar balance (it is excellent) then put it right back in the box so I can wait til February 1st. I love the progression of everyone's damas as the challenge goes on. My Ozora was absolutely destroyed by the end.
Yo we should have specific DS 28tricks hashtag so we can all check out each others journeys. Would people be into that?

I was trying to decide between a Pop a black Naked Pelle and a Bamboo Pineapple ken with a Sweets Maple cushion clear tama collab. I’ve decided to use the last one. I think I’m gonna really like cushion clear which I’ve never tried and I had already started playing a Sweets Target Kendama (that I should have thought ahead and waited on for February lol) and wanted something different. Also the Naked Pelle didn’t seem to sit lunars too well and that’s one I have been trying to get. I have a little stash from Black Friday of really nice stuff but I have them saved for after I unlock certain tricks as incentives to play them. Lol. It’s beautiful where I live when it’s not nearly minus 50 C, and I want to be able to film a little bit cooler stuff on them. When I can juggle and whirlwind and lunar and get some flips dialed in and stuff maybe some space walks and goon circles (all things that I am hoping to maybe unlock this month), then I can play them. Ha ha
Hi guys! Aside from the setups that y'all will be using this year, post your tricks as well! #28TricksLater
#DS28TLater ? I'm really interested in seeing everyone's progress. I'm hyped cuz I'm still new and it's a good way to actually level up lol.
Last year one of the hardest things for me by like day 5 was just thinking of tricks to do. Especially since I didn't have a ton of time to film on a lot of days, I would get set up and then just be at a loss for what to try. This year I listed some inspo for those moments. Most of these are tricks that I just haven't gotten around to actually trying but I'm hoping won't be too much of a grind. You can tell I don't practice lunars enough based on this list XD. That said, if I hit half this stuff I'll be super stoked. What's on y'alls lists?
Got a damamail yesterday dont know which one to destroy for #28trickslater Was thinking of the middle prime romania edition i got in a good price. what do you think
