Anyone else tempted to help your dama along towards better stalls by scraping the paint off around the bevel? I feel like its cheating but it's so damn tempting.

I was proud of yesterday. Only had about 15 minutes to film but was stoked to get 2.5 tricks I really liked

 

I was late to start but I have begun filming.

Almost at the end of #28TricksLater on my end, and man this month-long exercise can cause Kendama Burnout. :/

 

I can feel you man.. the hole month was a heavy grind.

 

I only made it 5 days I think.. was def a hard grind. I was reminded early on that each day was supposed to be a new trick I hadn’t tried before, on the same Dama for the whole month. I thought originally it was just post a new clip everyday, not realizing it had to be something I hadn’t tried before. That ontop of phone storage issues and not being able to get a trick I was working all day on film became the most frustrated I’ve ever gotten with Kendama.. I Play to advance myself, but I mainly play to relieve stress, lower my anxiety, and help with my mental well being. It brings a smile to my face hitting tricks, that nothing else really does..

I got stuck trying to land around Denmark early on in the month and committed myself to that trick until I got it, which actually took me a wk or two to get all the different swap mechanics down.. lol I still don’t have it on Lock but can snag it 1/4or5 attempts is say and still grinding on it for consistency..

Congrats to ALL that made it and congrats to the ones that attempted it and failed! I know it has brought a resurgence in some players that hadn’t played much recently or hadn’t had the time @KeeganS is one I recall. Good to see people challenging themselves ambidextrously too! I know @MattSweets did 28TL all with his switch hand as did @guzmastergriz I believe is his IG handle. Lol I’m over here struggling with switch hand BigCup!

I am right there with you. I am super burnt out. I want whatever I do today to be interesting but I also just want to call it and take a week off

True fam. On my part, I'll be sticking to casual jamming for a while. I don't plan on filming any grinders soon lol.
