Do give it a shot (pun intended), my man! I'm mainly on Aeropress and French Press (cold brew at times), and soon to delve into the world of drip coffee! For me it's about being able to enjoy and fully taste the flavor notes and profiles of the bean.
I'm pretty simple when it comes to coffee. But I used to live in close proximity to a guy who roasted his own beans. That's definitely where its at. Especailly if they are good at it, just ridiculous. I'm a clever coffee dripper guy, but I need to pick up an aeropress at some point. I used to french press all the time but I much prefer the clever coffee dripper now. You can customize your cup similar to a french press, but even more so and with a very clean cup.
TJ knows that My go-to is a nesquick chocolate milk from the nearest gas station during any film mish
I definitely get stoked on teas. ...i'd like to think my cupboard is like Ramona's from Scott Pilgrim vs the world. lolol most of them i love are like citrus-y, but lately i've been really digging peppermint tea
@nikki_deo Tea? I used to really get into Celestial Seasonings when I spent a lot of time up in Colorado.
@nikki_deo Morning Thunder guy here. It was great to bring on long backpacks in lieu of coffee. For a no caffeine variant Red Zinger is pretty tasty. They used to do decorative tins around the holidays that made great gifts too but I don't know if they still do it.
can anyone recommend a quality pepper/salt mill grinder? settling on a cole & mason set but would like others experience before i do
I have one of these for rock salt but have never tried it with pepper. I got it many years ago so I'm not even sure of the brand. Originally I saw it in a snazzy Chinese restaurant here in Tokyo but they used it for some other herb/spices.
ah yes, i saw these the output looks good for single dosages but looking for higher output since i do bbq alot and heavy on salt and pepper
I'm trying to get all the rest of DKT to create Downspike accounts. My friend Larry is way into beer. Like, almost @Yourdy level into beer. Haha
@amagad Sweet. Are they sitting on a block of calcite or salt? Also is the grinding mechanism metal or ceramic (sorry don't know if that's the "burr" or not. I'm just barely functional on the tech of mills.)
Yeah, it's a slab of Himalayan salt, the burr on the pepper grinder is steel and ceramic on the salt grinder.
Anyone else BBQing? Woke up at 7am to start a 6 hour low n slow smokin bbq, couple whole chickens to boot, what a great excuse to lounge around and play dama while you wait!
