It is, actually. Our local store carries these colors. They're part of a new batch, a year or so ago, together with the pink tama / grey ken, and green tama / blue ken.
I don't think I've ever seen a 2 color ken (sarado and ken different colors) model released from Catchy; perhaps I'm misunderstanding the colorway @htimSxelA is talking about (blue ken;orange sarado;orange tama). Could you post a photo of it? The green/blue was in the first set of 3 colors that I was able to get from them a few years ago. (ken/tama: blue/green; grey/turquoise; black/red)
My bad! I thought you were referencing the purple / white combo in the picture, hah! Perhaps Alex is referring to a blue ken, orange rubber inserts and orange tama?
I keep a Catchy Air in my car at all times. Emergency dama that cant get warped from weather. I totally have played it underwater albeit without scuba gear and its a FREAKIN trip. like playin dama in zero G
At one point I was talking to them about doing tama splits but it hasn't happened yet. Hope they do since I don't think it would be easy to take them apart myself and get them back together properly. I like being able to mix the colors; kind of like Legos.
What do you guys think about the catchy air kendama. Anybody played with one. Wondering if they are legit or if it’s more of a buying gimmick
That was my first one too. That green is really easy to track. Have you tried bird on it yet? It's really a challenge.
Well a ton of patience on an Air will make it so that you'll do Bird in your sleep on just about any "normal" kendama.
The hard part for me doing Bird on an Air is holding it for the regulation JKA 3+ seconds. It felt like my heartbeat was enough to knock it off.
Make yourself a set of Kendama Bumpers for practicing then when you get it down just pop them off. Yeah, I hear you about the weird progression of tricks. I could do inward lunar left handed before right hand and way before consistently doing normal lunar.
In case you're interested the Air can apparently be used for low intensity Yanks (. . . where's that head slap smiley)
