The DKT (downriver kendama team) is in your area, and they are legends in the dama game. They've driven across country more times than I can count, just to attend events. Legit af! Look them up

I own Deal with it, I co-own Grain Theory with Jake Wiens and I'm pro for Terra Kendamas. Ive been playing about 9 years now . I got into dama thru blading and just love that you can never beat it, can play alone, and it doesnt involve technology.

Hey everybody, my name is Tyler and I am from Maplewood Minnesota. I am a cofounder of Kendama Minneapolis as well as a Community Outreach coordinator for Sweets Kendamas. My favorite thing about Kendama is teaching people how to play, especially kids. I have benefited immensely from this amazing toy and want to pass on the love to everyone I can. Greetings everyone, metal head till the end, MJ Sucic here. Grew up in Connecticut, USA & now live in Saitama, JAPAN. I've been playing since 2008. The best damaing point would have to be the strong community & the fact that it feels like I'm back on my board without any of the gnarly slams.

    Hey Guys,
My names Matt, Im 30 years old. I've been playing kendama for about a month now, I'm from toronto ontario but just moved away from the city for work, I love the fact that kendama doesnt need anyone else around, It makes you push YOURSELF to be better and you actually want to do it aswell! 2 weeks ago i couldnt even get all 3 cups and spike. and now im spiking anything i do just messing around cup to cup, and its already such an awesome feeling it has me hooked, coming from yo-yos pretty much my whole life, string burns and constantly fixing knots can be a huge pain, this is just go go go. I can happily say im here to stay.

Yo. My name is David, I live in Denmark. I got my first kendama 2 years ago and I played like 5 minutes once a month. But then I saw an edit on yt (can't remember what edit it was) and that inspired me to make an instagram. One of the things that keeps me going is this hole kendama community! And most important... it's fun :)

    What's up Downspike!
My name is Ian Brady from Toledo Ohio.
Found out about Kendama in 06/07 through my friend that inline. We went to bitter cold comp and Colin and some others were there with them showing everyone. After my buddy got one that's all we did when he hung out. I destroyed my arm and ended up having 20+ major surgeries on it,getting a skin grapht, being stuck in the hospital for 4 months and wound up not being able to use it for the better part of a year. After starting P.T I started to slowly play Dama again and it ended up helping me more than anything else. It's a huge reason why I can move my wrist to the extent I can and have full motion in my hand. I may not be that good but I owe so much to kendama and the community for everything it has given me. I can't skate anymore cause I am a huge wuss about my arm but it brings me the same level of stoked to land a juggle to spike as it did toh heelflip a ten set haha. Super pumped to be apart of this app and community and hope this can be a good way to further invole myself and city into the kendama world!

    KIAORA!!

I'm caraway chiba and I've been playing for about a year now. I'm from beautiful New Zealand. I love kendama for the fact that the community is so cool and supportive no matter what level you are at. I jammed with people other than my two friends that play dama in NZ at SU LAB in Kawagoe and that was such an amazing experience!! I think that me being a skater has helped me get into kendama. I saw it on TV in Japan (I'm half Japanese) and decided to pick one up from amazon and was hooked from there on. As of now only know 3 people that play in NZ but when I get older (I'm in first year of highschool year 11) I wanna open a dama cafe and start a dama brand and grow it from there.

dont have insta but have a YT channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCD1npgi02FEjXBp3gH-6M9Q
dont upload too much but I do the odd vlog here and there.

I am oscar. I live in Camarillo, California. Started with a shattered ankle and was gifted my first kendama in a speedy recovery gift from a good friend in November 2016. I'm now able to stand on my two legs without the aid of crutches! Cup tricks have been my go to, until now. This weekend I will probably be able to do knee bends and really start nailing spike tricks!

    Stoked!

    Ayooooo.

    This is Ian Vos!
Learned of kendama in 2008-09 or so, overlooked it, ordered one and fell in love instantly in 2011.

I started DKT (Downriver Kendama Team) in 2012 after some more friends/locals got into the groove.

My absolute favorite parts of Dama are hosting jams or doing field days/assemblies at schools, but of course traveling as well. Just the amount of kids we've been able to watch get as stoked as we are about the simplicity behind it is an amazing thing the witness.

Follow me on IG @powahousevos, and our team @downriver_kendama_team

And peep my boy @kendamalicious on there too if you haven't already.
