If you're talking about the kens themselves, then there is a 50/50 chance of them being either birch or maple, but if you're talking about the whole dama, then Herald's has an ash tama.
Yeah they're both way different from a Stodd or a GT-1. They're both like taller/a little bit bigger than the standard shape. Fun fact: the tamas for their mods are the same size as Slaydawg tamas. And no they didn't do it on purpose. I was told that they wanted it to be like in between a tall boy shape and the standard shape and it just coincidentally happened to be the same size. I would say the most noticeable changes for Kristian's are the slip stop (it's sharper/thinner) and the cups (they're huge lol). Ben's is like, super beefy. Like imagine a GT-1 in a picture, and you drag the picture sideways to make the GT-1 look fatter. That's what Ben's is. Both have other smaller changes like a sanded handle ring or something like that. And yeah they're both maple. Kristian's is maple maple. Ben's is supposed to be birch x raw ash, but there was a little mix up. The 20 that were at Sakura were maple x sanded ash (sad face cause birch x raw ash is my favorite combo).
