I like to listen to chill electronic music alongside some rap. I actually make Kendama music playlists ("Dama" playlists), at least 1 hour of music each and I'm getting close to my 100th playlist! You can check them out here: https://soundcloud.com/hatulim/sets
Depends on what mood I'm in. If I'm just jamming, I'll usually spin some king krule, rappin 4 tay, doom, the Japanese house, something chill. If I'm trying to lace, usually some heavier shit like bones, danny brown, maybe some earl. Music is a must when it comes to dama.
The album Floating While Dreaming by Pell. He's a super good rapper with some pretty chill music and this album is fantastic.
I actually rap, if you're into rap you should check me out I have a few decent songs out, and a mixtape in the works right now. SoundCloud.com/bidkrewsimba
