I mainly listen to Reggae/ska/dub and hiphop while slaying. Mostly french groups at the moment like Jahneration, Chinese man, Taiwan MC, Naaman or Volodia but for long session I also love LionRiddims channel on Youtube as it is mostly instrumental vibes.
Any of you ever heard of Buddha Bar or Putumayo (both series kind of world groove)? They're nice to run in the background jamming or not; most are pretty chill.
Music is an essential part of my kendama. Everything from heavy trap to Miles Davis. It changes the way I play / think about tricks. Who else listens to mix tapes or dj mixes when they play? Drop some links to you favorite mixes in the comments. Below is a list of links to my mix tapes and soundtracks from my videos. While you specify "mix tapes or dj mixes" here there are a number of other related music threads running that are not quite as specific. Check these for more info: Music to jam to? Jamming Playlist What's your fav place to sesh and music you listen to while seshin
@Jake Wiens and anyone wondering where the former "Mix Tapes" thread went, we merged it here to try and make an archival music thread for future reference. Check some of the previous replies there's some good stuff here.
Not necessarily music to jam to but an interesting cover of the tune that kicked off MTV way back in 1981.
Wow, there's a lot of good music out there. I personally love the "Lofi HipHop Radio" for a sesh. When it comes to rap I like more chill things like Lil Uzi Vert's "Sanguine Paradise". That song has a good vibe. here are the links:
Spotify actually has some really good playlists titled like Dama sesh, kendama playlist etc, modern hip hop music etc mixed with some amazing instrumentals
Personally I love listening to $uicideboy$ when i sesh!!! their style is different but give them a chance and you’ll love them.
Dr. Disrespect's Spotify playlist. Chill vibes, but it has some really hard-hitting tracks if you want to have an intense sesh. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5IUxvS0U3ZL2NwKoybYEmD?si=ndl34RHeRXakwG2iZp9iZA
