This concludes the 2017 Minnesota Kendama Open!
I bet sweets will form a japan team eventually. Also with Gallaghers twins being pro, i kinda feel like it's should be their time yet. No Hate on this but i feel that Lukas Funk & Taku could be also atleast been included to the pro team. But none the less, hype...
That is a valid sentiment, but you should also think about the marketability of their pro models. Nick and Zack have been on the trick, film, and tour grind, spreading the kendama love in Romania, winning film contests, placing highly in contests like KWC, etc. Going pro isn't necessarily about being the best shredder on the block, but it's also about how well you represent the game and your company. With all due respect to Taku and Lukas, they aren't as active when it comes to touring and edits compared to the Gallaghers, so they aren't as popular. Not to disrespect their skill, of course, but the Gallaghers also have skill in spades. Besides, with their recent appearance in the Romanian Kendama Open, their mods are good as sold out in the biggest kendama market in the world; a good thing for Sweets.
@Keeks do you have the results for Beginner (Ladies + Men), and Intermediate (Ladies + Men)? @Edric Owen Ladera, @Emil Apostol here’s an unpopular opinion. So won’t be recruited by Sweets. It’s crazy, but the fact that So made Bryson (and the Sweets team by a certain extent) have a goal - to beat So, speaks volumes. Having him on Sweets may make everyone else complacent, since they may take So for granted, since he can win comps under the Sweets banner. If Sweets wanted to get So into the team, he would’ve done so after KWC. Sweets needs some healthy competition, and So Kanada is one of those instances.
The interesting thing is that Matt Sweets said on sweets stream " we are sending him our damas, but it's nothing official" talking about So Kanada.
Sounds fair! Plus it would be unfitting for So to win MKO and KWC in the same year, then get put on, say, the Homegrown Team. Then again, So looooooves his Sweets Kendamas. At the end of the day, it's all up to him.
Welp, I knew So could take it home twice! Now time to see who won that Slaydawg! Btw, when will the winner be announced?
How did I not see this? So THAT'S why I saw a bunch of people with OG Willy P mods around their necks in their stories!
