Yep, it really surprised me. I've done maybe 10 Maple kendama with 5 different wood finishers and I've used Wood Food alone on 1 and it didn't turn out anything like this one. I really should have shot a before pic but I thought I'd "seen it all" and didn't expect any big change. Live and learn.
