US retailers? It's been a while but my last contact with Sol said they had both the Mutant and OG TK16. IIRC they had blue and black in the Mutant and the rest were OG but like I said it's been a while since I checked with them.

Gunzo has the JKA 40th Anniversary ones that are OG. Kendama USA shows TK16 but I'd double check the shape before ordering. Same with some vendors on Amazon US, they show the OG photo but might not actually know what they have.

They are still available in retail outlets and on Amazon in Japan as well. Decade and Gloken don't appear to have them.

Still haven't played it much myself but a number of the guys who've played the demo we have mentioned they really like the stick but the over-sized cups take some getting used to. They said that they have to change their tama grip to avoid touching the cups.

So far im really happy with the purchase. Might be the Best Dama i ever had and one of the cheapest too.
I ThinK the shape is amazing and maybe the Best shape out there. Sadly the basecup has chipped 3 places already so lighthouses Are really tough.
The only downside is that after playing with My prime for a couple of weeks now, normal Damas look weird.

I got the Maverick Prime and it's the beeesss kneeessss!!! My only problem with the prime is that when I switch back to my Ozora or any natty ken my hands feel so dumb. I would recommend jamming with it along with an ICY kendama so that you can still bust lunars out on normal kens without feeling like the prime is becoming almost like training wheels. The only kendama I have played that is better than the Prime is the Slaydawg, but look at the price point difference...for the price Primes are the best.
