Time, but I guess thats a given!

Ummm.. I guess normal vacations? Almost every time I travel now coincides with a kendama event. Thats not the worst thing though, cause I've been able to travel a fair bit with kendama. But it is nice to just chill on the beach sometimes

I like this question! It's one we don't pose often in this community.

For me it's definitely time over anything else. Because I'm a full time artist - it's what I do for my 9-5 job, it's so beneficial for me to have found a non art related hobby to escape for a bit and find enjoyment in something fresh. At the same time though, as my career is the type that you need to put your free time back into building your job-related skills, I've found that since doing dama, my priorities have shifted from taking extra classes, going to drawing workshops, and working on portfolio (all things I should be doing) and only playing dama, which has held me back from improving what I do.

But I'd say that isn't damas fault! It's my job at the end of the day to strike a good balance between this hobby and my other responsibilities. It's just hard sometimes because I definitely feel like without Kendama I'd get so burnt out, and Kendama is just so gosh darn fun!

I'd also say that Kendama has brought so many more good things into my life than bad things, that I can't quit it or fault it for my own inability to time balance my schedule and priorities!

Ooo also something that I have strong opinions about regarding the OP. If a girl/boy won't give you the time of day in terms of dating because of your passions and interests , then they're not the type of person you want to end up with. Of course your hobby should never take over the time that you spend with them and everything is a balance, but to actively choose to turn someone down because you're into Kendama is nonsense and isn't your fault - it's that persons fault for not being open minded and embracing what other people like to do with their life.

Kendama made me lose my girlfriend

I started slaying and the dama worked like a pussy magnet pulling biddies left and right, it was all too much for me to stay loyal.

    Hmm...

I believe kendama has made it more difficult for me to get to know people outside my existing circle of friends and the Kendama Community.

I always end up being objectified as the "kendama guy" for some reason, and it doesn't help me when I try to get close with new people.

I think I lost a little respect from a co-worker recently when they found out that I did it...and posted on youtube about it. XD Haha.

But hey, I'm a Kendama Nerd, I'll own up to it.

Kendama hasn't brought anything negative to my life, aside from less money due to dama purchases. Of course, you'll always have a heckler from time to time, but usually it's coming from someone who's opinion I could care less about.

Probably why I've stuck with dama for as long as I have, the positives have always outweighed any negatives.

My grades were never good but after kendama, they became worst!! :) :( Kendama gave me more than it took from me. It gave me bad grades and scoldings from my parents. But TBVVVVVH I am addicted to kendama. When I pick it up, I won't Ben able to put it down. I dun blame kendama for my results as kendama is gonna be my life.
