Not so much a trend as a pet peeve, but I get irked when I see kids posting and commenting on new product drops, or even on resales "Damn, I want this, but no money " Or "ffffuuck I wish I could afford this" when the dama in question is like $20. I am not judging people based on their financial situation, and I'm not talking about a GT or a Rez or something that's a bigger ticket item. But moping around because you can't get $20 together is super lame. These days, that's like babysitting for two hours or mowing one lawn. Hell, run a lemonade stand. Unless you're already working and your paycheck goes to help out your parents expenses, I just can't sympathize with the inert complaining that you're broke. get off your phone and go hustle! /old guy rant
On a related note, whenever kids see someone’s collection, they go “gimme one kendama pls” / “pls give me that <insert the most high end kendama you have>“ Umm. No.
Unless they’re sold out, don’t see a problem getting your own. If you really want it that badly you’ll save up the money or get the money to do so. But please, keep it lawful!
I totally agree! Not to hate on the vlogs from Bonz and Norx, but I feel like they take away from what kendama is supposed to be. Kids look to both of them, and when they do stupid, inappropriate stuff on their vlogs, they are likely scarred. Keeping kendama as kendama and not as something for self promotion would be great!
I completely agree! Whenever I see an adult pro post something stupid like “kendama is a gang” on their story or YouTube, I am disgusted. I look up to these people and I would not like to see them ruining their image by doing drugs and posting pornographic BS. It just ruins the vibe of kendama. As a pro, I love having people look up to me and would not want to ruin that by being a bad role model.
Something else I hate is when pros post inappropriate pics of women on their stories like “dama hotties” or “kendama is a gang”. I personally dislike it a lot, but I can’t even imagine what the 11 year olds would go through when seeing it. It’s just disgusting and disrespectful in general.
back in like 5th grade, I ran a lemonade stand and made $600. SO, for all of you kids without a job, you can do that, and hope for the best. With all of that money, you could buy a mugen, a few gts, and spend the rest on your crap $20 kendamas lol
