Count Me In and the Carson Valley kendama Edits 3 and 4 are both great examples of non trap music that provide a great vibe. Personally some of my favorite edits to watch.
Yea, I was gonna say, this seems to be a very broad overgeneralization. I agree with the sentiment in many ways, I've rolled my eyes at the music choice of many edits over the years. But to just give up on 'the entire North American scene' because of it... uhhhhhmm.... what? Thats bizarre, and clearly there are MANY examples of edits with all sorts of different music choices out there. The N American scene is far from some homogenous group of players, there are people from all walks of lives with all sorts of different interests involved. There is always someone out there that listens to shitty music (in your own opinion, whatever that might be). Must be some serious trap-hate to just rage-quit a scene that is otherwise unrelated to the music. (all that said, this is an interesting look at how edits can really embody and communicate the game to other people, be it in a good or bad way)
I hate all rap. I completely understand this feeling. This is why I almost always watch Japanese players and almost never western players
You may want to expand your horizons, man. Rap isn't some homogeneous mass of music that all sounds like mumble rap. I'll admit that I'm over trap music because of oversaturation, but there are lots of Hip-Hop gems out there especially from the older rap artists. NWA, A Tribe Called Quest, and Nas come to mind for me.

I hope my music provides good feels for all dama slayers. Much love to @goenKendama for the love and support!
Ah, there they are. I guess it was the underscore in the name that threw off my member search. Thanks for chiming in.
Double cups. Example: I land big cup, and I toss the tama into the air and catch it in big cup again. No orbits, no kenflips, nothing. It drives me insane how so many newer players are doing this. Not a very clean way to play kendama.
yeah I’ve been watching the hasttags on IG for kendama and all new ones are still doing that so the bevel is facing the right way. Learn to toss correctly!! Lol
Ahh yes this drives me nuts. People that call consecutive lighthouse flips with a slight pause in between an "insta lighthouse flip" are just flat out wrong.
In this vein, I kinda don't love stall or lunar instas. Not to a level where they like ruin the trick for me, but in a lot of cases it's harder to just go to stilt than to insta stilt, for example.
True, I generally agree, though more modern damas sit much flatter on lunar, so insta-lunars have become a little bit more legit. Hard to hit em clean, and hard to show that they're clean with a good camera angle too.
The macwiggle (that little rattle-esque shake you do with your dama after lacing a trick) It’s not the actual action that annoys me but that someone put their name onto this thing we’ve almost subconsciously done since first starting kendama.
