    Nice video and input/review! Just got mine as well. Put a nearly fresh weight matched raw ash stodd tama on it. They really do play great together. When you talked to him, did he mention what kind of wood it was? It seems like birch but since the plys are so thin, they seem almost saturated in the laminate. Which in theory atleast would increase durability as well. My only concern is the spike seems like it's gonna dull quick. Who knows though, it could harden up once it's mashes down a bit. Anyways, thanks for the unboxing!

    @poncho151 He did not say what kind of wood it was. I've put about 3 or 4 layers of glue on my spike already. I just really didn't want the spike to get dull.
